What is body lipofilling?
Lipofilling can be of different types, depending on the area where it needs to be implanted:
– Nanofat: and liquid
Microfat: it is of medium density
– Macrofat: maximum density
This last one is not a filler, it's a fat graft, which is why we can give definitive volume to the breasts and also to the buttocks.
Frequently Asked Questions about Body Lipofilling
Macrophat technique
This is the appropriate technique to give more volume to the breasts or buttocks. The extraction technique is the same; in these cases, we need a greater quantity of fat, which is why it requires us to perform liposuction beforehand. We always find an area that the patient can improve by reducing localised volume, usually from the abdomen, legs, or hips.
Once the extraction has been carried out, we purify the fat. This is the most important part of the procedure as we need to ensure the fat survives after implantation. Once treated, we can then carry out the fat graft.
These fat cells are introduced in very precise small quantities so they have maximum contact with all surrounding tissues, skin, muscles, and cartilage. This ensures that the transplanted fat cells receive enough oxygen and nutrients to grow optimally.
Lipofilling of dimples
With this technique, we cannot expect a large increase in volume; it is indicated for patients who want a small enhancement of the breasts, no more than one cup size, with a natural result.
Breast asymmetries, filling only the upper or lower pole of the breast, are the most commonly performed techniques with lip filling, as they allow for tailor-made adjustments.
Gluteal lipofilling
In recent years, there has been an increase in patients seeking gluteal augmentation. Nowadays, this part of the body has taken on significant importance for various reasons: eliminating sagging, increasing volume, redefining shape… all these touch-ups are now possible with the lipofilling technique.
As with breasts, the increase in size is moderate; if the patient desires significant projection, they should opt for implants. This type of technique requires specific training for the plastic surgeon. We recommend an initial consultation for assessment to determine the suitability of the treatment and the possible outcomes.
