What is a breast lift procedure like?

This plastic surgery is performed under general anesthesia with one night's hospital stay. The aim of the technique is to remove excess skin to achieve lifting of the breast; depending on the degree of sagging, there are different types of incisions: The O (only around the areola). The T (around the areola and with a vertical line down to the breast fold). The inverted T (around the areola, the vertical line and the inframammary fold). Although it is unavoidable to have the scars mentioned above, the benefits of this operation are those of a great beautification of the breast.

What is the post-operative period like for breast lift surgery?

After the procedure a compression bandage is applied, which is removed after 24 h and replaced by a sports-type bra that must be worn day and night for the first month. At first the shape of the breast looks odd because it is extremely lifted, but over the following days it will begin to settle until it reaches its normal shape. Discomfort from this procedure is mild, although the swelling may take a few weeks to subside. You can return to work after 7 or 10 days; if your job involves physical effort, avoid lifting weights for the first fifteen days.
