Problems that only girls with large breasts will understand
Ariel Winter, one of the actresses of Modern Family, said: “My large breasts made me unhappy”. After a breast reduction, she says: “I didn't do it because I didn't like how I looked. Having to bear so much weight was affecting me psychologically”.
Many girls have large breasts, and some of the problems they face are:
– There are not enough cup sizes on the market
– The bra is torture
– Playing sports is not easy at all
– Amplifica el volum real de la resta del cos
– Premenstrual discomfort increases
Not all women can enjoy their curves. Many have great difficulty doing sport, suffer from back pain, premature wrinkles, among other causes.
When back pain is recurrent or there is eczema or other discomfort, it is common for women to go to their primary care doctor, rheumatologist or orthopaedic specialist. They are the ones who refer them to the plastic surgeon to assess whether a breast reduction mammoplasty is appropriate.
Although it is an aesthetic operation, it is still surgery, so patients must make sure it is performed exclusively in the operating theatre of a hospital or clinic and that the professional performing it holds the corresponding official qualification: specialist in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.
Reduction is somewhat more complex than augmentation. It is performed under general anaesthesia, and parts of the mammary gland and fat are removed. The remaining tissue is then repositioned. The surgery lasts between two and three hours and requires a postoperative hospital stay.
