The appearance of dark circles is the most widespread aesthetic concern among women. Dark circles are the hollowing and darkening of the area just below the lower eyelid.
The causes of their appearance can vary: sleeping few hours without restful sleep; not drinking enough water each day; losing weight or exercising to an extreme so that the under-eye area becomes dehydrated and the fat beneath it disappears or thins; bad habits; genetics, etc.
Because the skin around the eyes is much thinner than on the rest of the face, the blood vessels show through more and any slight change in the deeper fat is noticeable on the outside.
