Ultrasonic rhinoplasty or Rhinoremodeling. What are the differences?
This is a recurring question. Patients come to our clinic wanting to improve the appearance of their nose and ask about the differences between ultrasonic rhinoplasty, traditional rhinoplasty, rhinomodeling or non-surgical rhinoplasty.

Each patient has their own indication; not every patient can have a non-surgical rhinoplasty (nose reshaping with fillers), as it is a technique intended to conceal a minor defect of the nose, a discreet hump, a slightly drooping nasal tip, a dorsum that is too small… these are the cases where non-surgical rhinoplasty can help us solve these details and greatly improve our appearance.

Rhinomodelling is performed in the clinic and is not a surgical procedure; it falls within the field of aesthetic medicine.

Rhinomodelling is performed with hyaluronic acid, a filler that gives an immediate result, but we must bear in mind that the results are temporary, since hyaluronic acid lasts for a limited time and the procedure will therefore have to be repeated every 10 or 12 months.
Surgical rhinoplasty is another matter: it allows a complete reshaping of the nose, as we modify height, width, length, bridge, nasal root, nasolabial angle, septum, nasal tip… as well as functional problems that prevent adequate breathing.

Rhinoplasty is a facial aesthetic surgery that can be of two types: traditional or ultrasonic. In our clinic we only perform the ultrasonic one, after verifying that it offers a number of important advantages over traditional rhinoplasty, which we will explain to you.

The main difference between ultrasonic and conventional rhinoplasty is the osteotomy: the surgeon uses ultrasound to break the nasal bones. This difference gives us more precision and less bruising, so bruises are much less pronounced and swelling is also reduced; recovery with the ultrasonic technique is faster, the immediate postoperative period involves a protective splint on the bridge of the nose that must be worn for one week, and the results are visible immediately, especially when we reshape the nasal bone, while the tip takes a little longer to define its shape.
Our medical team, specialised in nose surgery, is highly specialised in ultrasonic rhinoplasty, with more than 500 procedures performed.

Ask your questions, request a consultation and our specialists will advise you on whether your nose can be corrected cosmetically with non-surgical rhinoplasty or whether a rhinoplasty is needed to correct cosmetic and/or functional problems.
