FAQs about peels
When is the ideal time to have this treatment?
The ideal time to carry out these types of treatments is between October and May, as the sun will no longer be our main enemy. Blemishes are a priority to combat, the first thing we need to differentiate is between grouped hyperpigmentations, or localised and isolated blemishes.
What is the after-treatment like?
After applying the peel, there will be some redness, with deeper penetration meaning more redness. A superficial peel usually lasts a few hours. With a medium peel, it can last a few days, although with the use of a specific cream with good hydrating properties, you can carry on with normal life. Deeper peels require a few more days for recovery.
From the second or third day, peeling begins, which can last for 7 to 10 days. This peeling will be more or less deep depending on the peel applied.
What is TCA (Trichloroacetic Acid)?
Due to its enormous penetrating power, it is capable of eliminating old and stubborn stains; its exposure time is short, between 5 and 7 minutes.
In the first few days after treatment the skin darkens and then peels.
After a few days, we already have perfect, new, and flawless skin.
What is Phenol?
It is a potent keratolytic, we achieve thinner, softer skin, we recommend it for:
1. Reduce and eliminate skin blemishes
2. Combatting acne scars
3. Improve deep wrinkles
4. Restore skin damaged by the sun.
What is Retinoic?
You are a very famous acid, it reduces the thickness of the stratum corneum and stimulates epithelial regeneration. It is doctors who decide, depending on the skin's presentation, the appropriate concentration to work with, and we manage to customise it to the maximum, as we can add active ingredients depending on what we want to achieve: closing pores, fading age spots, or acting on very fine wrinkles.
What is mandelic acid?
Especially recommended for people who may have sensitive skin and do not require a more aggressive acid. It has been used to treat photoaging, uneven pigmentation, and inflammatory acne. After its application, it rapidly improves the skin, activates cell regeneration, and increases collagen and elastin synthesis. It has a significant depigmenting action used in many creams and products.
What is Liposomal Ferulac?
Prevent and treat facial photoageing by avoiding and minimising sun damage: dehydration, expression lines, wrinkles and age spots. This boosts antioxidant effects and protects the skin from external aggressors such as the sun, tobacco, pollution… It stimulates collagen synthesis and repair, and also contains Ferulic Acid, which has photoprotective and chemopreventive properties.
